Alban Stéphant was appointed as Managing Director in 2023 having previously served as Head of Steering Resources since 2019 and is based at the Dubai HQ (Steering Resources became GenTa International in January 2023).

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
• Leading business development activity for the Security Consultancy business, and generating leads for new business through that activity.
• Identifying opportunities for cross-selling of other Restrata offerings to Professional Services clients and prospects.
• Qualification of leads.
• Presentation to the Business of qualified opportunities at Gate Reviews and/or Bid No Bid Reviews.
• Management of allocated client Accounts to identify new opportunities, maximize upsell from current work, and cross-sell other Restrata offerings.
• Maintenance of comprehensive records of all leads, prospects, accounts, contacts, and opportunities in SalesForce.

SALES:
• Supporting the Business in the production of proposals and bids.
• Where appropriate, acting as Capture Manager for an opportunity, pursuing the opportunity through to closure.
• Conducting timely follow up with prospects to determine the outcome of bid competitions.
• Maintenance of comprehensive records for all bids and follow up activities in SalesForce.

SECURITY CONSULTANCY DELIVERY:
• When tasked, delivery of security consultancy assignments.
• Where required, working as part of multi-disciplinary design teams within the built environment and working to RIBA design stages.
• Providing threat based design guidance for security systems to clients.

LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY:
• Decision maker for start-up company incorporated in 2013 with extended assignment of tasks: administrative matters, financial management, human resources and marketing.
• Definition of the company’s areas of expertise tailored with the customers targeted.
• Opening of subsidiaries in Brazil and Niger (legal and financial matters, recruitment of staff)

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• Evaluation of the business potential in Brazil (Espirito Santo), Africa and UAE.
• Identification of customers and their needs, networking, visibility actions.
• Project engineering in the field of training programs for the Homeland security, Security Risk Assessments and Security Management Systems.

TRAINING:
• Instructor and trainer of trainers for Security Forces in Brazil, Niger and Uganda.
• Implementation of a partnership with a local company in Abu Dhabi to identify and recruit European trainers for the Abu Dhabi Police: Traffic Management, K9, Tourist Police, Forensic Directorate, Rescue.

STRATEGY & COOPERATION:
• Identification of Homeland security projects financed by the European Commission.
• Focus on Security Sector Reforms (SSR) and vocational training projects (200 K. € to 1.5 M. € per project).
• Building consortia with other European countries’ similar police entities.

PROJECT ENGINEERING & MANAGEMENT:
• Response to tenders, identification of the needs, drafting of projects.
• Logistics, administrative and financial monitoring and mobilization of experts (Chad, Central African Republic, Ivory Coast, Mali, Libya, Lebanon, Peru, Jordan, Ukraine).
• Operational coordination through local follow-up and steering committees with final beneficiaries, government entities and local delegations of the European Union.
• Major achievement: author and team leader of the project to reform the Police Academy vocational training system in Ivory Coast (1 M. €).

TRAINING:
• Narcotic detection trainer and trainer of trainers in the Central African Republic.
• Full design of the new vocational training system for the Ivorian Police Academy (diagnostic, pedagogical method, curricula, training engineering, monitoring and implementation)
